How to resize an image
Drag your image into the box above — it opens locally in your browser and is never uploaded anywhere. JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP are all accepted.
Enter the new width or height. By default the aspect ratio is locked, so the other side follows automatically — uncheck the lock to stretch freely. You can also work in percentages (for example 50%) or pick a common preset like 1920×1080.

Is this image resizer really free?+
Yes. The image is processed by your own browser — there is no server involved, so there is nothing to charge for and no limit on how many images you resize.
What is the difference between pixels and percentage?+
Pixels set an exact size — for example 800×600. Percentage scales relative to the current size — 50% halves the image. Use pixels when you need an exact dimension, percentage when you just want it smaller.
Does resizing reduce image quality?+
Shrinking an image almost never hurts visible quality — you are discarding pixels that were not visible at the smaller size anyway. Enlarging beyond the original dimensions does soften details, because the browser has to invent pixels that were never there.
What is the largest image I can resize?+
It depends on your device's memory rather than the tool — most phones and computers handle 20–40 megapixel photos without issue. If a very large file stalls, resize it in one pass only (avoid repeated up-and-down scaling in the same session).
